The second regional conference on the topic "Predicting and managing legal risks" was held on May 19th at Hyatt hotel in Belgrade. The conference is part of a series of regional conferences, for the second time gathering international and local experts in one place, to explain, by means of examples, how risk in particular area of law is assessed and managed. The conference reaffirmed the commitment to unite regional and worldwide legal profession and thought, but also set new standards in the organization of events which are a great opportunity for establishing new professional contacts, friendships and mutual cooperation.
More than 300 layers, working for companies, banks, solicitors, judges, managers, practitioners and scholars, university professors and students had the opportunity to be part of the conference and attend extraordinary lectures, speeches, but also share experiences and ideas regarding the modern approach to legal risk management.
The welcome speech was given by Mr. Dragoljub Gjorgjevikj, President of the Bar Association of Serbia, the introductory lectures were delivered by Mr. Chedomir Backovikj, Assistant Minister of Justice of Serbia, and other speakers, included: Tim Jones, Toma Fila, Georgi Dimitrov, Matthew Wiley, Ricardo Ugarte, Eser Dzhevahir, Christopher Brown and others, who were just some of the lecturers that make this conference rank among the events that set new standards in the development of the legal thought in Serbia and the region.
